Staton House is a supportive transitional living home that is designed to prevent homelessness for youth ages 18 to 21 who have aged out of the foster care system. The overall mission of Staton House is to serve as a bridge between temporary and permanent housing, as well as providing youth with resources necessary to better prepare them for independent living.
The residence is a 1,500 sq. ft. home with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Three of those bedrooms operate as shared sleeping quarters, (2 occupants per room, with a maximum housing capacity of 6 occupants), while the fourth bedroom serve as a muti purpose room. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, and there is a washer and dryer for on site laundry. WIFI and landline access are available in the home, and there is a fenced in backyard for activities and relaxing.
